problem synching contacts

My touch stopped syncing contacts the other day. I added a new group in Address Book and everyone in that group does not get synced to the touch. When I bring up iTunes, that group is not even shown in the list of possible groups to sync.

I've tried reseting my touch, it didn't help. The disconnect appears to be between iTunes and Address Book. Any suggestions?
