Hi,

Getting ready to do a project based on the recording of various Podcasts. I am very excited about it. So your help and advice are very much appreciated.

At first, I would record the 30 to 50 min. podcasts on Garage Band,

then:

1. First Question: For the recording of Podcasts, (mainly dialogues), do I need to use a complementary software if I want a relatively high-quality recording.
Someone had suggested me this software in addition to Garage Band:
http://www.rogueamoeba.com/audiohijackpro/

2. Second Question: To clean background noise, (I may not always record in a very quiet place), and to add sometimes background music, is a complimentary software needed.

3. Third question: I may need to clip apart the recording into pieces as small as five seconds when played. Is there a complimentary software you may recommend to do so easierly.

Last but not least, as additional information, IŽll be using this to record:

this external microphone:

in conjunction with imic:

and an ibook.

In advance, thank you very much for your help,
