What is the best modem router to use with and Apple Time machine? I have a Askey right now which I use with my Airport Extreme and it is so so, I bought a netgear router in Singapore and it didn’t work, I have seen the Lecksy ones but don’t want to waist anymore money so I am looking for advice on what to buy that will defiantly work with my Apple set up??

What do you need a modem router for Time Machine for? All you need is an external HDD.
I have already bought a Time Capsule, I want the thing that converts the Telephone signal to ADSL and sends the ADSL siginal to the Time Capsule
THanks

OH! Time CAPSULE. I thought you were referring to Time MACHINE. Sorry about that. I was terribly confused. I don;t know anything about that, though...

Your ISP should provide that box to you (possibly at a minimal charge). Buying your own box can be a bit hairy especially if you don't know your ISP's exact modem hardware requirements.

What you need to know: Call your ISP. When you contact them, use the term "modem" rather than "modem router" to avoid confusion since the box you are after is in fact a modem.

PS: Time Capsule is also a router and wi-fi base station so there isn't much need for an additional router on most home networks.
