Looking for a nice fixer-upper to work on for a while. I'm thinking an upper level iBook or a maybe a Core Duo Macbook that took a spill might be suitable. Not looking for on-board graphics problems, mainly shattered LCDs or torn ribbons. Maybe broken hinges too, it really depends on if it's fixable or not.
Let me know what you have! Please no G3s. Thanks :)

I have a powerbook G4 1.25 Ghz. It has a new battery and i upgraded the memory to 1.25.
I left the mouse on the keyboard and my son closed it and stepped on it {he's only one} - anywho, it cracked the screen but the computer still works great.
If you {or anyone else} is interested just let me know. I would love to get rid of it b/c i need something mobile. {The machine works fine plugged into my monitor on my tower}

How much are you looking to get for it?
Just curious.

I've had someone offer me $440 for it but I was hoping to get $500 so that I could get another computer without putting too much more into it.

I have a 17" 1.33GHz PowerBook G4 with a non-functioning SuperDrive and broken latch mechanism. Not sure if this exactly fits your profile, but let me know and maybe we can work something out.

wow... if I were you, I'd take the $440. That computer sells for around $550 - $650 working and in good condition.

I don't this would fit into my budget, because that thing is still a pretty nice computer. I know some people tend to think that screen repairs are not worth it and sell off their units dirt cheap, but PowerBooks like those could still be used fine as desktops.
I'll PM you an offer, but I'm kinda looking for a cheap fixer-upper rather than something that could cost as much as a perfectly running computer.
