I think it'd be a good idea if there's a fashion sub-forum where fashion-interested MRer's can discuss what's in and what's out this season. It could be split between the teenage fashion (abercrombie and what have you), young adult fashion (BR, D&G, True Religion), Men and Women What'd you say kids?

Yeah!!! Fashion!!! And we can other forums for equally shallow consumerist nonsense whilst we're about it!!! How about a Make-Up tips forum for the aspiring beauty queens amongst us? Or a My-Sneakers-are-more-expensive-than-yours sub-forum for insecure teens hiding their lack of personality behind their purchases?
Better yet, how about we abandon this bad idea and stick to technology?

An Apple user is saying the above? Isn't that like chastising Paris Hilton for being... well, Paris Hilton?
I say bring it on. I will share my highly tuned fashion sense with all of you:
- The in colours for Pringle sweaters.
- Which open-toed sandals for the office?
- Colostomy bag accessorising: What's hot and what's not
- Trousers: Above shoe or above socks? The debate rages on
- Bow ties today: The latest and greatest trends from the catwalk

Don't forget that some of us are Mac users because we find Windows to be nothing more than an irritating bunch of badly coded in your face annoyances. Practicality beats style :)

Usually, there's no difference between the two.
Or what about a place where we can show off how cool their Mac stuff is, and how they have the most freeware, shareware, and most customized Macs. Oh wait, we have one. It's called the Picture Gallery forum.

Can we have a My Little Pony forum first?
It could be subdivided into separate discussion fora: Genuine Little Girls; Rather Femmine Little Boys Who Like Pink Things; Harassed Fathers Who Are Looking For A Lastminute Xmas Or Birthday Present; Camp Men And Goth Teenagers Who Dress Their Little Pony In Bondage Gear; and of course, Installing OSX My Little Pony Edition On A MacBook Air.

You forgot "Creepy Dr No types who put fricken laser beams on their heads".
Let's face it - in the tech world the average Apple user, who at least partially buys Apple because of the way it looks, has a larger dose of narcissism or projection than users of other hardware - no matter how nerd they might be. Oh all right, not the embarrasing end of the Apple nerd spectrum, the amateur developer type who corners you in MUGs evangelising the platform... <shudder> You will not find the trendy types using a Dell. Heck, it's one of the reasons I hang onto Apples for out-in-public use: As a stylin' technological ice-breaker. To show I'm hip and with it, daddio. That I'm down wit' da bros, word...
... er... perhaps I'd better quit while I'm ahead.
Anyway, it therefore stands to reason that Apple users would be more attuned to style, and that the increasing numbers of switchers may need instruction in how to cut a dash, coming as they are from the dark recesses of Gates-land where sandals are okay. I say why not have a "We're here, we're prettier than you, get used to it" forum.
Personally, I think it makes sense. So many of us made the choice of Apple because of the way it looks (or the way it looks to others). So many of us are ultimately that shallow (or cater for / mix with people who are). Seems logical that there should be somewhere dedicated to sharing style tips. Stick it up alongside PRSI - I look forward to the Armani vs Cerruti flamewars, and the virtual handbaggings between the Prada and Chanel camps.

Not everyone buys a Mac because they look good. I sure as hell didn't. I bought mine because I like the way it works. Being attractive is just an added benefit.
Also, there's absolutely nothing wrong with chastising Paris Hilton for being Paris Hilton :D.

To further the complication one would have to define "fashion". Surely the likes of abercrombie, true religion, etc cannot be considered true fashion.
You'd have a huge argument between people who wear 5 year old designs with a logo emblazoned across their chest with those who actually know that they're talking about.

That sounds like almost exactly like PRSI. Maybe we do need a fashion forum :p.

Deaf forum?
I'm a one-man deaf forum :) But there's lots of other deaf posters here, especially in threads about subtitles on iTunes or on AppleTV or including subs in DVD rips etc..
Hey! why not make it a new subforum? The ADA act mandates equality for us crips and you walkie-talkies. We'll have ours and you have yours and hey diddle diddle pop goes the 3 legged cat
