Woody Allen's new movie - "Hollywood Ending" (hilarious, by the way)
A few clamshell iBooks
One G3 indigo iMac
One TiBook
My date thought I was insane. :)

I don't know if any of you watch "6 feet under" on HBO, brenda uses a TiBook... its a good show so it's nice to see a familiar computer :)
you see 'em in a lot of movies lately, our cable company even uses Macs in their high-speed cable ads...

My favorit mac sighting is a little old, but still a good one.
Seinfeld had a 20th anniversary mac on his desk by the window in his appartment. I never actually saw the thing working though, but it was a very cool, if somewhat overpriced machine in its time.

Clockstoppers was chock full of Macs and Cinema Displays. And of course Zoolander…:D Who could forget Independence Day— Goldblum saves the world by giving the aliens a virus on his Mac (probably gave them Windows!)
I pick out macs ALL the time in movies. It's so fun. I even think in Fight Club, after he beats himself up in front of his boss, when he's wheeling out his stuff, there's a beige Mac extended keyboard in his cart.
Almost forgot…Antitrust. Hacking on B&W G3's. And Office Space, a weird mix of Mac and Windows.

You stole mine! damn! After reading the first post I thought about the 20th anniversary mac on Seinfeld and I was gonna mention it....oh well.
They also had an iMac and a G3 tower in Seinfeld's apt.
Theres also a Simpsons episode I saw last week I believe...where Bart creates an online cartoon about homer...well anyway, they create the cartoons on a G4 tower....I was watching with my roomates and I was all excited about the mac...whatdya expect?

TMF, a MTV clone in the Netherlands, had their music awards last month. Well, this station s*cks but at the music awards they clicked on the mouse of an iMac to announce the winner wich was showed on a big screen. I bet Apple paid a lot of money, but it was cool, hehehe.

A UNIQUELY AUSTRALIAN PERSPECTIVE
There used to be an iBook on Rove's desk on Rove[Live] and Bob Downe uses heaps of iBooks on The Bob Downe Show.
BTW completely unrelated, I just saw Panic Room and the way they do the credits at the begining of that movie is quite insane.
Say hi to your mum for me,

Yeah, those were very striking. The CG made them look very real, with the reflections, shadows and all. Sort of creepy omnipresent sterile floating letters, went very well with the movie's theme to start it off.
Spiderman's credits were stuck to cool CG webs in the beginning too. That whole movie was awesome CG.

Has anyone mentioned sex in the city? They've had a few on that, and it should be interesting to see if they upgrade Sarah Jessica Parker's pismo with a TiPB in the new season.

Assassins has the powerbooks.
Both Stalone and banderas, use the powerbooks to receive their missions.

I seem to be doing exactly the same thing, and about 85% of the movies I see, I see macs, ain't that great.

It was on tonight, and I had to mention it. The year was 1995, the movie, staring Sandra Bulloch (with Dennis Miller as the Shrink), the Net. I've counted no less than 5 macs! One of them a 8500 or 9500 tower, the rest the Mac Laptops (big, heavy, small screens). Lots of screen shots, even of the original Castle Wolfenstein! Very cool.
Plus Sandra's online, talking with people in chat rooms she's never met, hmm, doesn't sound familliar at all.....:D

I seem to remember the "Delta Flyer" on Star Trek Voyager had an old-stlye Apple flat pannel painted black at Ensign Paris' position. (Running Mac OS LCARS, of course ;) )
Also, Drew Cary show has had several iMacs and Flat Panels
Victoria's Closet (cancelled) had a Mac (can't remember if it was an iMac or the above mentioned flat panel monitor) on the secretaries desk.
Sports Night (cancelled?) - a bunch of PowerBook G3's with a sticker covering the Apple logo.
My wife used to think I'm crazy the way I noticed such things, especially when I notice Mac OS 8/9 desktops or windows used in ads, especially when plasted to a WinTell machine's screen! Now she is noticing them! (My brain washing is working!)

C.J. (Allison Janney) uses a TiBook on the West Wing. I've never seen it out and about, only on her desk. And yes, Zoolander was brilliant. Owen Wilson is a damned genius. I've never even been to Mt. Vesuvius... :) :) :)

"About a Boy" (Hugh Grant's new movie, which, by the way, was much much funnier than I had expected... even my father enjoyed it!). There's a Cube and 17-inch flat screen, and a quick glimpse of a Graphite G3 iMac.

 Another resurrected thread!
That is probably the last one of those I will do in a while...
The newer episodes of Drew Carey may show on Drew's office desk, basically, the Cube system I use, except he uses one of the newer 15/17 inch monitors. Before that, Drew was using a Blueberry iBook. Remember that?
In the movie Bedazzled, when we get a shot of E. Hurley on the office monitor, that is an Apple monitor.
I mentioned this before, but this Australian-accented Animal Planet geek owns a Titanium Powerbook. You may sometimes see it in his office on one of those Animal Planet shows.

Yeah, I've noticed that too.
Can you believe that that guy has his own movie coming out?!

A movie? No ma'am. I haven't heard of it.
I don't see how it would be exciting anyways. I can already see it now...he is going into the forest to rescue a lost kangaroo. Or maybe he is going to describe the scales of an alligator. Or maybe, just maybe, he is looking for something nobody has seen in him, a real sense of humor and a fat paycheck. :D
But I do admire the guy due to the fact that he has a Titanium Powerbook and that he is an animal lover. At least he respects them.

Did anyone read the article in the Journal last Wednesday about "Even You Can Download Music?"
Well the half-page picture for the article is a PowerBook G4 playing some Brittney Spears scene. What's so darned funny is the journalist writes on and on about these sights and says that they don't work with the Macintosh. So why do you use on for you picture of these sights? They should have use some big john-boat anchor 8.67 pound square and thick cruddy Dull.
The Journal and Walter Mossberg are pretty right-on when it comes to Macs, but sometimes they should pay a little more attention.
BTW, The Journal did a big spread about buying a laptop. It wasn't until the last paragraph that Macs were mentioned. But is was all he needed to say. It went on to say that "...but two of the absolutely best laptops on the market don't run Windows..." Nuff said.

At the end of Swordfish you can see a G4 graphite keyboard being used.
Also in Austin Powers I think I remember seeing an Imac in the background of his "Shag Pad".(Is that what it's called)

I am so glad that there are people that also notice Macs in everything. I have noticed all the Macs mentioned so far. its funny, I may not remember anything about the movie, but I know exactly the scene mentioned that has a Mac in it. And eric_n_dfw, I am SOOO Impressed that you also noticed the display in the Delta Flyer. I was going to post that, but you beat me to it. The only way I noticed it was from the way the back looked. My friends all think I am crazy for noticing Macs, but I'm not crazy, you guys understand...right?
In response to an earlier post about Seinfeld Macs, I know that he had a duo, and a twentieth anniversary, but I do not recall ever seeing a G3 or an iMac. And also, Simpsons, when homer invests (and loses) the family savings, the internet cafe is filled with a cartoonish version of iMacs.

The Apple keyboard is used as the "control panel" for the time machine.:)
And I believe I saw a full Mac set-up in the Japanese executive office scene, but it's been a week since I saw it (I get invited to previews of films 'cause I know a critic) so I may not be remembering that correctly.
Ah! and thanks to a post recently made by Haberdasher, he reminded me that Austin HIMSELF uses a Ti PowerBook.:p How could have I forgotten!

I saw a Seinfeld episode recently where he had a Windows 95 box sitting next to a duo-dock. I wonder... a windows fan in the staff, or were they trying to be equal-opportunity?
My favorite mac sighting has to be in Independence Day. Jeff Goldblum used a mac to network to the alien mothership to deliver the virus that saved the planet. Funny. When the movie came out you could barely network a mac to a PC, let alone a completely alien tecchnology, and he figured out how to do it, and write the virus, in less than a day? While drunk? Classic.
