Hey everyone,

I'm looking for a decent video card for my PowerMac G4. I am hoping to get a Radeon 7500 or higher, but anything at can handle Exposé and full screen (1680x1050) iTunes movies and DVD's in DVD Player will work just fine.

Right now, Exposé is very choppy, even with only one window open, and watching a DVD is just not happening. So whatever it will take to get to at least that point will be acceptable.

Please let me know what you have and what you are asking for it. Also, please make sure it is compatible with my PowerMac G4 "Digital Audio" 533Mhz system, because I am not 100% sure which cards are compatible and which ones are not.

Thanks! :)

I'd recommend the ATI 9800 Pro 128mb AGP card. You can find them on ebay for $25 for a PC version and you can flash it on your Mac with the appropriate rom to work. Best video card you can get for the G4 PPCs.

I thought of that, but I'd rather not have to go that route if possible. Might not be a bad idea if I can't find anything else, however. Thanks. :)
