Because it doesn't take 4 seconds to google (or just go on Apple.com)?
I'm a little confused;
http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/wa/RSLID?nnmm=browse&node=home/shop_ipod/family/ipod_touch
is your answer.

If it matters to you, I believe Costco also extends warranty to two years for electronics. Just something to think about.

The 16GB is $369 at my Costco. Don't know about the 32 but I would suspect somewhere around $469.

Guess pricing may be regional, 'cause I was there last night looking at them and saw $289, $389 and $489. The 4 GB nano was a bit better discounted at $136. They have often included "free" songs at iTunes or AppleCare on other Apple products.

Just an FYI, the major advantage to buying your iPod from Costco is the 3 month return window. You can return it for any reason...
So say when Apple comes out with the SDK in June, you could return your Touch and get a new one with the SDK without paying the $20 fee. Then if Apple comes out with an updated Touch within 3 months of that, you could return it and get the updated version.
Pretty good deal if you compare it to Apple (no advantage to buying direct), but you can still save quite a bit by buying from Amazon ($475, no tax).

So what you are saying is that you can change your electronics at Cosco every 3 months no questions asked? Assuming you have no ethics, of course.

Yeah, basically. Its why theres a membership cost associated with Costco. I'm also sure that if you are obviously abusing this they will probably deny your return, but doing this twice wouldn't be considered abuse...
All ethical issues aside, of course. The only reason I would honestly ever do that is if Apple made a major change to the Touch (read: hardware change) that could not be updated on the older version, or possibly a very expensive software upgrade ($30+).

I got a 32GB at costco about a week after they were announced.
Did you have to special order it or what?
Because the costco online catalog doesn't have the 32gb up on the website.

I have seen them in two different Costcos in the San Diego area.

I was at Costco yesterday (Fremont, CA in the SF Bay Area), and they had plenty of 32s in stock.
