In a report from Merrill Lynch this morning recapping Apple's Analyst meeting in Cupertino, Ron Johnson (Retail Store) mentioned the following:

Apple had 14M visitors through its stores in FY03._ Johnson stated that 47% of CPUs sold during that period were sold to users who were new to the Apple platform._ The number of visitors that make a purchase has increased, from 6% in the second week of the store roll-outs to 14% by week 95._ However, the number of buyers of CPUs as a percent of visitors has remained below 3%. Apple would like to leverage its retail footprint to gain market share in the small business market._ The company does not intend to do this with an active outbound sales effort, but rather through in-store promotions.__ Apple is rolling out a "Business Wednesday" whereby every Wednesday the Genius Bar will
open at 9 am for professional customers and the store will focus on the business
customer.

Interesting, "Business Wednesday" at the Genuis Bar. Hopefully with 10.3, more businesses will consider the Mac Platform. We'll see.....
