3 hours is needed to transfer a 500MB video using wireless lan?

Well, there is a chance that there was something disrupting your wireless signal. Such as a microwave, or I've heard of radios. Or Wireless phones, even cell phones. All these things can cause a disruption and cause cause slow wireless data transfer.

My advice for the future is whenever your transfering large files I suggest you find an old ehternet cable, and connect your computers, and transfer the files via that.
