Also a proud 2.5GHz Penryn owner. This machine is actually cooler than my old 12" PowerBook G4 867MHz for normal operations, like web browsing and iPhoto, etc... (it does get quite hot when running games though).

What?
My 15" Penryn MBP (same as the video) has only 2 USB ports.
The 17" ones have 3 USB ports.

i dont want to believe it,
is that really true?
i thought all sizes are equal in terms of the number of USB ports.
well,
this is why i wont sell my current MBP to get the penryn.
i actually opened one for my friend and taught him some stuff in it as he was a switcher. I was amazed of how less warm it runs. (compared to the previous MBP).
that something making me think about it.

Nope.
The 17 inch has 3 USB ports and the 15 inch has 2 USB ports.
From Apple's web site --> MBP Features (http://www.apple.com/macbookpro/features.html)
Scroll down to the, "Ins and Outs" part.
The video was good. Showed the MBP features. Liked the song too.

that was a great video :):apple:
Yeah, that dude did a great job with it... This being my first mac, was that video most likely made using imovie?
The music, along with the first 60 seconds of the video, would make one hell of a macbook pro commercial!

I'm with you two on this one and I think I can understand why. Most of us have experienced or seen the features and performance shown in the video many times before. Hell, over the years there's been countless videos on the net showing MBP's in action. The fact that it's a "Penryn" model doesn't make any difference to the content shown; it's old hat to many of us.
Obviously those blown away by the video, such as cmm26red, have probably never owned a MBP before or never viewed similar videos on the previous MBP's. It's great to have that "amazed" feeling when you first see and experience it in action but by the very nature of this site, the vast majority of us are simply used to it and have been for years.
I hope I'm not coming across as rude or anything cos I can fully understand the awesome feeling you get when you first use a MBP and as long as it's new to you and you're enjoying it then that's all that matters. :)
For the rest of us hardened users though, we'd have to see a redesigned model with new features such as an upgraded graphics card to get that same reaction and hopefully in a few months we'll get it ... :D

Its a pretty good video. Young Folks is what makes it awesome though. I remember first listening to that song when I download the Tony Hawk's Project 8 demo when it was just released. Awesome tune.

It could have been a video of the Merom MBP and it wouldn't have been any different.

It would - COD4 performance would be slower.
