even if it is "out of warranty" the Apple Store Techs can fix it right on the spot, also check the bottom of the MB.

It took 1 hour to fix mine when I brought it into the apple store. The person before and the person after me both had cracks also.

I'm not surprised, every macbook that i have owned and every macbook that anyone I know has owned has cracked. There is on average a new thread made on this forum daily about the issue. I really can think of any problem that mac has ever had before that reached this scope... it would almost be funny if it wasn't so damn annoying.

The logic board failures on the G3 iBooks was up to 75%, according to lowendmac.com. Not pretty.

Had to bring my MacBook in twice for this. It had to stay overnight both times since they didn't have the part.
