Recalling what Mr. Jobs said in one of his open letters half a year ago, he promised a slash on UK iTunes song prices as a settlement of an investigation conducted by the EU.

However the typical price for a single song is still 79p now, way higher than any other iTunes store across Europe. Wondering whether the promise has gone empty... hmm...

Way higher? Have you checked exchange rates lately? Prices are pretty much on par at the moment.

Actually, Jobs stated in January he was looking at a six month timescale for a correction in wholesale prices. Who knows by then the UK store may be cheaper in any case.

Currently 79p is approx. $1.57. (the 79p already includes tax)
