iTunes apparently doesn't have Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Where else might one look for legal movie downloads? Amazon iPod compatible? Any other sites? Thanks.

Try this site. www.myvideolib.com. Prices are reasonable. I don't know if they have that one, but they have a lot of them. I have donwnloaded about four from here, and they all work fine.

Ah, the catch: I was looking for legal movie downloads, and based on the following excerpt from their terms of service, I'm guessing this isn't really it, "All materials presented on this site are available for the distribution over the Internet in accordance with the license of the Russian Organization for multimedia and Digital Systems (ROMS) and intended for personal use only. Further distribution, resale or broadcasting is strictly prohibited."
And, "The Client has no right to download any Files from the Site if this violates the law of his country."
I'm guessing this wouldn't fly in the U.S. Thanks anyway though.

Yeah, guess I didn't see this part. I actually didn't download stuff I didn't already have in another form, just got it there because it was already converted for Ipod and I didn't want to go through all the hassle of those other programs you use to convert stuff you already owned. I guess I figured it was legal because you do pay for them, and they aren't free.

There is another site, CinemaNow, that appears to be legal internationally, but I think this one is a monthly membership thing, I am not sure. I found some others by searching, but most of them require a membership.

Apple seems to like keeping a lock on it. I think they deleted my post asking the same question on the Apple.com discussion boards.

Yeah, that doesn't surprise me. Did you try looking through all categories of itunes. I think I saw that one on there. Also you can request the movie, although I requested something about 3 months ago, and it still isn't on there. If Apple would get on the stick and get a bigger variety, people wouldn't have to resort to other sites.

In Apple's defense, my post had just bee shuffled down low, but no, Eternal Sunshine isn't on iTunes at all. Their selections leave a lot to be desired, and I hate how they make some rental only, no purchase option.

You could buy the dvd and use converting software, which may not be legal either I guess but I you shouldn't feel guilty as you still paid for it.
