I was just reading a recent article on cnet (sorry no link iPhone) and it said how siemens was releasing a software update to their edge wireless equipment that would raise the max speed to over 500 Kbps. Anyone think att will make this happen for us?

With the release of the 3G iPhone coming who knows when, i think they won't do this, to boost sales of the 3G iPhone.

It's anyones guess.
