Safari refresh page question

Hi,
New to macs here. Is there a way to force refresh a safari window? Something like the Shift F5 in Windows?

Once a page has loaded the X (stop)button turns into a circular "refresh" button.

I think command and R will do the trick. Sorry I don't know how to make the command symbol.

The "refresh" button on the toolbar or Cmd + R.

I use the Cmd R, but it doesn't seem to really refresh. It seems to just show the cached page.

Try emptying your cache?

So, I have to clear cache every 5 minutes? That's kinda strange... lol.

Haha, that's pretty much what I've been doing (to keep the memory usage down).
