Every time I try to open a torrent file bittorrent crashes on me. This has just happened sense I upgraded to panther.

Happens to me too. Supposedly there's a way to get an unofficial client that works but honnestly I forget the link. I'd sorta like it too, so if you find it, please post it!
Thanks.

Should have spent some more time trying to figure out the problem before posting. Apparently bittorrent 3.3 was just recompiled for OSX, thus the crashing. Found a link to an older clint hopes this helps.

there's a thread about this in the Panther section of the forums. you should do a search for that, there might be something in there that can help you.
i don't think that v.3.2.2 is compatible with Panther...

i think some people have had luck with it, but i don't think the majority are using the 'official' client yet...
in the other Panther thread i list a link for a 'unofficial' BitTorrent client. it's okay, i'm using it now in Panther. better than nothing.

When are we looking at an official version recompiled for 10.3?

Thats funny because I am using 3.2.2a in panther as we speak. It is the only version that I could get to work.

yeah 3.2.2a or whatever works for the time being. there is also a java bt client called azureus you may want to look into. it works pretty well for me ...
