MS Office 2008 blows.

Microsoft Remote Desktop for Mac - Crashes all the time still beta. The software launches and says the beta is outdated. Duh - all MS software, even the new stuff is outdated.

Come on.

Bill Gates should feel ashamed.
 
I would agree that Office 2008 is not great. It's bloatwear and takes a ridiculously long time to load.

For Remote Desktop, I switched to CoRD a long time ago. It's so much better than the Microsoft version.

To give some perspective to this, I use Microsoft's Remote Desktop beta daily with no complaints. Works great to manage my windows machine from my MacBook. Yes it is currently saying that the software is out of date, but that only started today, which may mean they have an updated beta coming, or they expected to by this point.
