So I have a piece of glitter stuck under the fn key key of my keyboard, I was just wondering how I go about removing the keys. I tried for a little with a screwdriver but it didn't seem like it wanted to go and I didn't want to push it too hard.

So does anyone know if there's a proper way to remove keys from the keyboard?

thanks

Hi - this is for the new slimline usb keyboard - but same procedure works fine on MacBook keyboards.

Cheers, I did manage to get the key off, but as for the glitter I only managed to push it into the case. Ahh well at least you can't see it anymore

Try a strong/powerful vacuum cleaner - after taking the key off - there are quite a few holes behind the key board and the glitter is better out than in.

A couple quick sprays of Gas Duster should blow it out, especially somewhere in the keyboard.

DO NOT VACUUM computers. It can cause static electricity that can ruin any combination of circuits. I recommend using canned, compressed air. It's only like $5 a can.
