Was wondering if anyone else has this problem.

I have a completely genuine O2 iPhone on 1.1.4.

Since the update the night it came out iPhone has been running so much more sweetly than on 1.1.3 but recently have noticed that the Google Maps app is becoming increasingly more difficult to use effectively with it crashing randomly.

Every other application on the phone seems pretty much perfect but google maps is on the downturn!!

Anyone else having this problem or ideas as to whats causing it?

having problems with maps too. Mostly happens when I leave maps then return to the app. The screen gets filled with a tiling effect of a small part of the map. I think the app needs a refresh button.

Have the both of you tried doing a restore in iTunes? If not, try that and it should work. Only time i had an issue with maps was the 1.0 firmware, which was horrible.

Its something im going to try and live with until 2.0

Dont like the idea of doing a restore when the rest of the phone is working really well. Would only really consider it if the phone became unusable.

Thanks for the advice anyhow and will keep it in mind.

As a truck driver I use maps constantly. With 1.1.4 I am back to doing a restore every week or two to try and keep Maps from crashing so much.

Its not just me then!! Hopefully 2.0 will come with a fix although I think the initial 2.0 will probably quite buggy until they iron out the kinks.

Got round to doing a restore, now works fine.

Thanks!
