Only one platform can develop games for Windows, Mac, Wii, iPhone, iPod Touch, and web games for every major desktop browser. A Mac :) (Though I hear Unity authoring will come to Windows later.)

I tried the demo of Unity and was immediately amazed by what I could do before even paying. It lives up to the hype.
