in leopard when you open a file online (ie: a pdf) a copy of that file is automatically downloaded. can this feature be disabled? many times i just want to view a file to see if i need a copy of it. i hate that it gets downloaded without any input from me. i then have to go my downloads folder and delete all of these files.

I hate that too, especially when using google images and coming across an image hosted on blogger.com or that new google flickr wannabe site where it forces downloading the image rather than being able to just view it, those images always seem to have the highest priority in google image search results and can be super annoying (funny how both are owned by google). Im about to block all blogger.com and google picasa servers just to stop those stupid downloads that I cant stop.

I wish there was a way to disable that but safari doesnt seem made to support a feature like that.
