Whats the "name" for my macbook. Is it this so called " Santa Rosa"? It was purchased in January of this year.

if your processor is 2.0 GHz or 2.2 GHz, can handle 4 GB of RAM and came pre-installed with Leopard then yes it is a "Santa Rosa."

It would all depend on whether is was purchased new or refurbished. Any Macbook that was purchased, after Nov 1 and before Feb. 26, with a 2.0 or 2.2 will have the Santa Rosa Chipset.

Then you have a 2.2 GHZ core 2 duo 65nm processor with the Santa Rosa platform (centrino chipset)

2.0 or 2.2, Late 2007 (Rev. D) models have Merom processors on a Santa Rosa chipset. So it's up to you how you call your Mac. :p
