Help! New iMac reboots into white screen

after spending 2 hrs to download all the software updates, I rebooted as needed. However, it started to hang on a white screen...ok. I restarted via holding down for three seconds...apple logo came up, the loading circle came up, then it restarted. It once again hung on the white screen.

So I unplugged it, then restarted it and it booted up, but none of the software updated. Angry that I would have to redownload everything, I checked only the leopard graphics update and security update. Sure enough when I had to reboot, it put me at a blank screen. Its been on this white screen now for 20 mins or so. This bad boy isn't even 3 hours old.

Thoughts?
BTW...bought from a best buy

just send it to apple and they will fix it or give u a referb one back cause best buy will probably tell u to do that
