Can one stack have files from different folders?

Here's the scenario: In my Home folder I have various other folders; Pages Documents, Numbers Documents, Personal Finances, Letters etc. etc.

There are half a dozen files throughout all the folders that I want to open and edit regularly, so can I have all those files in a stack in the dock whilst not having to move them from their original folders?

Nope, this was demoed at the introduction of Stacks, but never came.

You can make a folder with aliases to those files though.
