As my thread title explains, i have a 1.1.4 jailbroken ipod touch and they both don't work...

Add source: http://twenty08.com/installer and scroll down to the category "twenty08" and install the new MobileChat. It's much better than the old version and you can also tip the iPod sideways and type on a larger keyboard.

I do, at the moment, but i would like a better solution

Add source: http://twenty08.com/installer and scroll down to the category "twenty08" and install the new MobileChat. It's much better than the old version and you can also tip the iPod sideways and type on a larger keyboard.

going to do that..

I have the new mobile messenger and imfix but it still wont work on 1.1.4. It just stays at the connecting screen

You don't need IMFix to use the newest MobileChat found in http://twenty08.com/installer source.

But, I've never had the *NEW* MobileChat.app crash on my jailbroken iPod touch.

Aww, boo hoo. Someone dares to challenge your Meebo fetish? Cry me a river. The guy asked for help with an IM client and you douches insult him for not using Meebo. Try being helpful instead of belittling the guy who's asking for advice.

On that subject, though, you should download the newest MobileChat at the repository that someone supplied above. It's worlds better than Apollo and it works like a charm with 1.1.4.

Well, I did. It works fantastic, although I prefer the looks of Apollo. And there isn't a way to see people's avatar or full nickname in Mobile Chat, or is there?

You know, I'm really not sure. It is a simpler app than Apollo. You may want to go to their website (http://forum.twenty08.com/) and leave the suggestions for future versions, as it's actually under active development, unlike Apollo.
