I am a mild gamer and would like to be able to play games such as Command and Conquer 3 and Civilization 4. I would also like to purchase a MacBook Pro. If any of you have any gaming experience with it, could you tell me what kind of games the MacBook Pro is capable of playing? What would be my limitations?

CnC3 should run just fine on an MBP.
The 8600 is just fine for today's games. Granted, it's no Crysis killer, but you can expect medium settings.

Medium Settings on Crysis?

Medium Settings on Crysis?
Yeah, I believe so. I personally don't have an MBP (yet), but from benchmarks I've seen and from what others are posting, that seems about right.

Will it run intensive games such as F.E.A.R on MAXED out settings well?

Crysis on medium settings is a little overstated. I tried Crysis on my MBP and it was pretty choppy on some of the lowest settings. But for the most part, there is quite a lot that will run well. F.E.A.R. maxed out seems a little ambitious, but I haven't tried it.
