ok so i did a clean and erase on my macbook SR 2.0 GHZ. previously i dropped my macbook on the floor and the mac os x wouldn't boot, but my windows xp can. so, i don't think it is a HD hardware problem.
back to the installation. i booted my mac through the install dvd, and tried installing leopard back. i passed the first part but when it reached the "Calculating time remaining" part, the beach ball just kept spinning non-stop. i left the computer like it was, went to sleep and the next day, still nothing happens. the beach ball is still there, spinning.
i have never used Time Machine before and i couldn't do an 'archieve and install' cos my mac will hang at the select partition part.
can anyone help? thanks
