richard.mac macrumors 603 Apr 3, 2008 #5 apps appear in the Dock when they are opened. but if they arent "pinned" to the dock they will disappear when closed. to permanently add an app to the dock add it when its closed or right click it on it in the dock and choose "Keep in Dock" while the app is open.

imacattack macrumors member Original poster Apr 3, 2008 #6 Thanks but the mouse I am using doesn't have a right click or perhaps I am using it wrong. It's not like working on a PC. I will try to drag the app to the dock. Thanks.

Click to expand... right click (secondary click) can be set on a mighty mouse or as 'two finger' click on a MacBook trackpad in Keyboard & Mouse in System Preferences.
