iTunes Store on iPhone - Video

Has anyone heard, on when they plan to update the iTunes Application that's on the iPhone, to include Video (movies and TV downloads) instead of ONLY being able to search for music?

dont think they will in the near future, it would take far to long to download!!

Unless they can improve battery life and download speeds, then I think not in the near future.

I've noticed download speeds to be very fast on mine. I'm Wi-Fi 99.9% of the time in my area, and iTunes doesn't run on EDGE anyway, THe average TV show is a few hundred MB correct? I can understand a full DVD quality movie, however....

bah I'm rambling ain't I? I understand your point, yeah it would take a great deal of time for download, not to mention battery....

my guess is that they will allow additional capabilities to the iphone, such as the app store and dl'ing vids from the itunes store, whenever the 3G/Wifi Iphone comes out.

It should be not much of a problem to add music videos and podcast downloads via the store. I'd imagine a lot of SDK apps in the AppStore would about the same size as a typical podcast.

i never have an urgency to buy a song. but i always want to hear the latest episodes.

For sure..... that's why I hope 2.0 adds to the store....I mean If I'm going to download pac-man (or whatever) then hopefully I can download last night's episode of the Office.
