DVD Player 5.0 software in Mac OS 10.5.2 not loading

I get the forever spin when i try to open the application.

Using Leopard and everything else works.... But the damn DVD Player 5.0 software in Mac OS 10.5.2 wont open and the curser just spins and locks my computer up and I have to power down to gain access again !

Not sure if i should just reload my OS again to try and correct it.... I cant find any way to just reload that 1 program.

Ughhhhhh...

wats the DVD like? is it scratched or damaged? DVD Player has new features to correct this that may be acting up. have u tried another DVD?

yes... then i tried opening the program without inserting a DVD and it did the same thing...

Did a backup and reloaded the OS .. all is fine now....

Whne i upgraded to Leopard it maust have lost a file or something goofy. BUT it works now after a clean install.
