I'm getting ready to order a new MBP, and was wondering if any mice fit my criteria--4 or more buttons (at least 2 thumb buttons), uses bluetooth to save me a USB port, and works well with a mac. I really like the Logitech VX nano, but it is USB. And I'm definitely not interested in a Mighty Mouse.

the microsoft notebook mouse 5000 is my personal favourate atm, it has 4 buttons and bluetoth, it looks great and works with mbp. It is also great value compared to the mighty mouse. microsoft make some of the best mice out there.

Good luck. I've been looking for this for about a year now. Why don't Logitech et al make more good Bluetooth mice??
That Radtech one looks interesting, but how does it *feel*? I haven't had a non-Logitech/Microsoft mouse in 10 years, because I hate how cheap most other mice feel.

Effing hell, I forgot about RadTech when looking for a mouse.
RadTech has been around for ages. I don't know if that says anything about the quality of their mice, but they've been doing it for a long time, and I was interested in one of their BT mice a long time ago.
Anyway, just bought a VX Nano myself. I don't care about losing a USB port with that tiny sensor. I'm going to love that mouse once I get it. 🙂
The only other mouse I considered was the MS Notebook Mouse 5000, and unless you get special software (there's 2 different ones) to reprogram the button, you can't even use that other button effectively. You can only use it with Spaces (assuming you have Leopard).

Thanks for the heads up on these. From what I've been able to gather, a VX bluetooth is in the works, but may not have even been announced. I'm probably going for the VX because most of the current bluetooth mice seem to have problems maintaining connections, or don't have enough buttons.

Can you give more information about the back button software usable in Leopard? I read a review on Amazon that said that it was supported for mac? How do you get the special software, and does it work?
