Quicksilver Replacement

Lately I am having a problem with quicksilver. Everything preloads normally and fast but Quicksilver seems to take forever to finish loading. I mainly use it as a file launcher since one it see the app in its database all i do is "Ctrl-Space" and type in the first few letters. Is there something better and faster? Thanks!

I'm a QS user, but have heard good things about Butler. There is also Launch bar.

I'd say you should try to troubleshoot your problem with Quicksilver first? Do you have an inordinate number of items in your catalog? You might try deleting Quicksilver, its preferences, and its catalog index and re-installing/setting up and seeing if that speeds things up for you.

But yes, Butler and LaunchBar are two other popular options, if QS doesn't work out for you.

Thanks Much! Will AppZapper or something like that remove everything so I can reinstall QS?
