Maya - can't type numbers into any fields

I'm using Maya on Mac OSX for the first time and finding it quite different from on the pc.

Anywhere where I need to type numbers into a field it won't let me. Is there some setting I need to change?

No nothing linked to any expressions...actually its on every field on every document and isn't just limited to numerical values I now realise....I can't even type in a name for my files. :confused:

:)Okay, so I reinstalled Maya and all's now well. Must've been a bug or something. I've read alot of posts on other sites that suggest maybe Maya for the Mac isn't so great and comes with a few issues.
