I can't update my XP

When I go to Microsoft "update" site for my XP virtual machine on my Imac at http://www.update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/v6/default.aspx?ln=en-us. The site gives me the following message "The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are trying to view. The options provided below might help you solve the problem." Consequently, I cannot update my Windows. Ideas??

Is this the first time you are trying to update?

Try and enable Automatic Updates until you can find out what the problem is.

In answer to both questions: No this is not the first time I have tried to update. It's about the 50th. I've had it on automatic update, that doesn't work either.
