Illustrator help: Building a cube out of text

In trying to build a cube made of text in Illustrator. I can't figure out how to align the text to the shape of the square. In Photoshop a simple transition does the trick but I can't figure how it is done in Illustrator.

With the text box selected, object/transform/shear. (It looks like about -20 will do)
