I'd like to buy a font package that I can use for design work. Just curious if anyone knows of a good font package to get.

what's your price? here are a few places to look around.

http://www.houseind.com/
Anything from House is good in my book. They are really incredible at creating interesting type. I personally have their Neutraface, Luxury, Burbank, and Las Vegas sets.

Veer doesn't make fonts, but they carry really cool ones. Look at the Umbrella collections. I like most the stuff they do

This is a great place to get some beautiful typefaces that are classic. Never seen a bad or even "trendy" typeface here.

http://www.linotype.com/
Also a good place to look for traditional fonts. Linotype makes a lot of good stuff, and they carry a lot of the great fonts that are good to have in your collection: Palatino, Goudy, Helvetica Neue, Bodoni, Futura, etc...

Get as many things in OpenType as possible.

I would recommend this site as well, these are classically designed fonts that will never date but they're aren't cheap so expect to pay.

good type shouldn't ever be cheap. The impact a good, well-chosen font has is priceless.
