Hardly surprising. It's the only mobile worth browsing with. Bring on 3G and Flash support and we're almost golden.

I thought this statement was interesting:

Such a move would require Microsoft to get into the hardware game so that it can create a unified user experience like the iPhone's, he noted. While Microsoft has avoided that approach in the past, its recent Zune efforts in the MP3 player space demonstrate it may be ready to reconsider that hardware/software separation.

Then Apple has nothing to fear. If Zune is their measuring stick, MS will fail with their attempts. They just don't seem to get user interfaces the way Apple does. Somebody gave the go-ahead for the Zune, which is an inelegant piece of hardware married to clumsy hamstrung software. And it was offered in one stunningly drab color. But someone at MS must have thought it was a great product. As long as that mindset prevails, MS will continue tripping over themselves.

The irony is that MS did develop an absolutely revolutionary product -- Surface -- but doesn't quite seem to know what to do with it.

Yeah, agreed, having also tried the WM5 browser, Minimo, Opera Mobile, and the Blackberry browser, Safari is the only one I really find usable.

The Zune 2.0 isn't bad, its just its no iPod Touch.

The real problem is that they will piss of companies using Windows Mobile, and it will also begin to shake the computer hardware OEM's.

Have used a few mobile browsers as well myself and its pretty obvious as to why this has happened. Very recently used the N95 browser, displayed the pages not badly but it was so clumsy to use. Nearly made it impossible. How they can put out junk like that is beyond me, but they do, as long as they keep rolling out crap like that the iPhone is going to do very well for itself.

The unity between Safari / Web-kit and Multi touch is nearly making my Mac redundant for surfing the internet, that is some achievement. The wife made me a new iPhone as well out of paper, with a zebra as the safari icon, bless her soul, again goes to show the impact even further as well as being very cute lol!!!
