I have quite a few icons in the top right Menu Bar. When I use an application with lots of menu drop down items, some of my icons just disappear! They reappear again with a smaller number of menu drop downs.
Now, I don't like windows, but the notification area has the ability to collapse a little, but with a button to show items.
Is there any way to get OS X to have a similar behavior? There is no way to see the icons without changing to a simpler active application!
