Tethering Updates?

hi!

I couldn't find much new on this, but using iPhone as modem whilst on the road/train etc would be immensely useful to me (perhaps others too, si?)

are there updates on its progress - and will it be "allowed" with iPh 2.0??

it is a simultaneous app of sorts, so it sounds like it won;t be supported.. but that is an att network issue more than anything.. right?

(this worked will on slower 3g with treo 700/sprint - so I have to think app/att would want it too)

I think they limit it because the unlimited internet for the iphone on the At&t plan doesn't cover any usage beyond the iphone itself.

well, when i "tether" my phone, i use it as a proxy with tinyproxy so i'm gonna assume that when i jailbreak it again on 2.0, it should still work.
