Hi there,
I cant access my shared mac files (sambia activated) from windows network machines. I can find the leopard macbook though, but only the drop box and shared printers are shown in there. Not my shared folder which read and write access rights for everyone...

Any ideas?

Thx in advance

the drop box is in your public folder which is shared by default when you turn on file sharing. users only have write access to your drop box and so can only "drop" files in there.

You have to explicitly turn on Windows file sharing (SMB). By default OS X is only sharing those folders using Apple file sharing (AFP).

Run System Preferences and choose the "Sharing" option. Make sure "File Sharing" is checked and click the "Options" button at the bottom right of the File Sharing pane.

Make sure "Share files and folders using SMB" is enabled.

smb is enabled but it's still not working... that's why i ran out of ideas...
