I heard it in my friends car on the radio, it was a fairly slow song sung by a man with a deepish voice, he would say a sentence about a girl or something and then the chorus would say 'baby.'

I know thats hardly anything to go by, but its all i can remember. Its stuck in my head and ive decided I just NEED to know what it is.

Doubly thanks to anyone who can help

I wish I knew exactly, it was kind of an oldie song, but could easily be a slow rock.

Considering you just described a vast majority of songs in the 60's, this will be some tough challenge. It will be just short of a miracle if someone could actually find the song.

Also, if you could find the type of music that the station plays at that time, it would be a HUGE help.

Did you give songtapper.com (http://www.songtapper.com) a try? It's worked for me the times I've used it.

As I said before, someone on here is bound to know it if they know what sort of music it's like. Radio station info?

the station was playing mostly oldies/oldie type rock songs. some lenny kravitz 'american woman,' and just some songs that resembled bob dylan.

it was a slow song, would say something like 'im comin' home to meet my..' then a female chorus would say 'baabyy' and it just kept going like that for what i remember.

I tried that site with music playing and tapping out the beat, and I didn't even get the right song... does this work usually?

I've been playing with it for a bit and haven't gotten one single accurate guess from the thing. In fact, now I wonder if the thing is even real or just a prank site, because I did the chorus of the same song twice (it was Interstate Love Song by Stone Temple Pilots, try it out and see if you have any luck with it) and not only did it not guess the song right either time, the 2 times I did it, the result lists were completely different.
