HandBrake quits unexpectedly

HandBrake quits unexpectedly every time I set the output file to .avi. It rips to mp4 perfectly but doesn't seem to do it when set to .avi.

Any help would be great. Thanks.
 
what version are you using? I've had some problems with .92 that I didn't have with earlier versions. I went back to .91
