Wow. How could you not use it daily? It's such a great product. I like to set it on my desk and just look at it while I do homework.
Maybe I'm obsessed.....

I plug it on the phone system at the office so everyone in the office gets to listen to the iPod music. even the people that call and are put on hold get to listen to my collection of songs.
I would say it get a usage of 8 to 10 hours a day (at minimum).
No wonder the battery is starting to be a bit flaky.

I feel cheated. There's no "all the friggin' time" option ;)
</sarcasm>
I test my battery life on a daily basis.

I still cannot justify the price for an iPod, but someday...

I travel an hour to work every day and back and when I'm at home I plug it in my stereo. I moved out of my parents house a year ago and almost all my cd's are still there :-)

i use mine every day, but rarely as a portable device. mostly it stands in its dock by my receiver on my desk and feeds music to my sound system in the dorm.

There are not many products that I use for 8hrs a day....and one of them is my bed. The iPod is well worth the initial investment for myself, so much so that I have bought 3 this year because my interest in music has grown phenomenally.

Listen to it in the morning on the way to the subway. On the subway (stuck in the tunnel because of a broken down train or a jumper). Walk to school from subway. In school (teachers don't give me **** about wearing headphones all day but give other kids trouble). Listen @ lunch (hour lunch). 3rd period during CCNA class I listen to itunes on the peecee. On the way home.
I listen to my ipod at least 4 hours a day.

I am using mine right now. Unfortunately everybody who walks by at work has to stop and interrupt my listening experience. They have to ask: Wow, is that one of those them there iPods? And what are you listening to? That's the one that ticks me off.

I try to use my ipod as much as possible and I am tired of the same boring songs of radio so when I am at the office I connect to the office speakers (and waiting calls) and when on the road plug it to my stereo.
It has been great specially for travel because I always drive and instead of chaging cds I just play randomlly and keep my hands on the wheel

If I had one, I'd have it with me constantly. I've been holding off on getting one for reasons of drive space, now I have other things (again) that I need more than one. I want one soon though, as I can use it to dump photos onto while out shooting. :D

My battered 5gb went everywhere with me, but I recently picked up a brand new, sealed 30gb and have been too scared to do what I usually did - just toss it in my laptop bag on my way to class or work.
It's purely psychological and I will eventually start using it daily again. One thing that bugs me is the noticeably lower battery life of the 3rd gen iPods compared with 1st gen. That is another factor in my neglecting to take it everywhere, albeit a minor one.

I used to have a Minidisc player, but putting music onto it from my computer was such a pain, that it hardly ever got used... :(
I was a bit leery about spending a bunch more money on portable music, thinking the same thing would happen, but I did... hoping it would change my outlook on portable music.
Boy, did it ever. 15GB iPod + Shure E2C headphones = my new 6hr/day heaven ;)
The 10GB 3G that I bought for my girlfriend--engraved-- that's another story... I'm guessing it gets used perhaps 1 hour/week. :( My mom's 15GB 3G gets used even less... oh well.

Since the antenna on my car broke in a horrible Car wash incident, I listen to my iPod daily, and the one talk radio station I can still pick up. Hard-wire your iPod to your car, you'll love it.

Every day on the way to and from work, plus I use it as a drive to move audio and vidoe files around between studios, and when I'm doing solo aikido training it fits very nicely in my gi jacket (I got a clear skin case to stop the sweat)

I haven't used the radio or CD changer in my car in a year since I got an iPod. That alone is worth the price, IMO.

Me neither. Especially given the lousy battery life.

Yeah it can be a pain. But once you have a dozen or two discs it gets much easier. You can start to put your favorite stuff onto discs you don't erase. I use mine every day, and I'm so happy I don't have to plug it in to recharge it every other day like I would an iPod.

I use it daily, but I used to use it more when I had labtech speakers. They crapped out and so I'm using my fiancee's soundsticks, which have a USB interface and don't allow for iPod input. PITA!

I got mine a couple about a month or so ago, and there is nothing that I use more. It is such a great product. I got it hooked up to my stereo so I have thousands of songs at my fingertips. Long live my iPod.

try this....plug the soundsticks into the computer. Then mount the ipod in itunes as "manually mangage songs". Then just play songs through the ipod and out the computer! u get the good speakers and it charges your battery too!

I've had my iPod (2nd gen, 20gb) for just over a year and I've used it just about every single day. That works out to around $1.35 per day... I think I've gotten my money's worth.:)

I've got a 15GB (obviously 3rd gen) iPod that has 3.9GB of space left. I use it everyday on the Subway and while I'm at work. I use is at work so often, I bought a data cable and leave the charger in my office!

I only use it when I'm in my car, and even then my XM satellite radio competes with it for attention.
I don't ever use it at home because I have my stereo hooked up to my computer and I have wireless speakers placed throughout the house. So I mostly rely on iTunes.
