I am building a gaming PC and want to try some off brand GPU (other than Nvidia, ATI, intel, AMD). Any suggestions.

1. You're going to have to fight it out between ATi and nVidia. Yes really.

There probably is other brands of graphics cards out there but I highly doubt you will be playing games on them. I do understand the desire though, I like my stuff different too.

ATI and AMD are one and the same. Intel only does integrated graphics as far as I know. So now you're down to nVidia and AMD. ;) Wait, are Matrox still around? Haven't heard from them in ages.

For the best bang for your buck:

-Nvidia 9600GT
-AMD (ATI) Radeon HD 3870
