How to make an app default??

Whenever I download a torrent (the little file that then starts the big one) and i want to open it, it automatically opens in LimeWire. I always have to right click the file and click on Transmission for it to open in the app I want (Transmission believe it or not). How do I get these files to open in Transmission by default??

Select an example of the file you want a specific app to open.
Press CMD-I
In the panel that appears, go to 'open with' and select the app you want to use
Hit the 'change all' button below.

hot tip: you can do this quicker and without using the Get Info window by option-clicking on the file and choosing "Always Open With -> app".
