hi,

i am making the move, but I first want to just buy a small desktop.

something like

800mb ram, 80GB hard drive mac os x 10

something around that.. I don't use any space up on my current pc so thats all I need.

You need 100 posts before you can post in the Marketplace, though I don't suppose that stops you from visiting or using PMs.

Yeah, check the WTS threads on the marketplace, ebay and craigslist.

I would look at iMac G4s, they're nice elegant machines :D

Though you might get more bang your your dollar by going with a dual proc PowerMac

Sounds like a job for an old MacMini. eBay, Craig's List, or check out the Apple refurbs.

Best bang-for-buck Mac is a dual 500MHz G4 tower. They sell dirt cheap and are very nice units! Gigabit ethernet is lightning fast, and the AGP graphics are still very competitive with modern units. Although, it is only 2x.
