Unlocked iPhone with UK Vodafone sim card

Hey,

I am due and upgrade phone in May from Vodafone. So was planning on selling the upgrade in order to pay for an iPhone and jailbreak it. I want an iPhone so much but am holding myself back until the 3G 32GB is released (hopefully). Was wondering, if i got a vodafone contract with unlimited internet usage would the 3G iPhones internet and mail work the same as unlimited internet usage on the 02 iPhone? Or would i end up paying extra?

yeah internet would as will email syncing probbly jus visual voicemail that will let u down and other features exclusive to carriers if they release any

My brother gave me iphone 2g and I have not done anything as I read on forums some people cant get simmm carrier to be recognised after pwning.
How did you fare with yr vodafone / iPhone unlock ?
