I think someone has been on my computer when I was at school today. Is there a way to get like the last time the computer was on or the last time my account logged in? I don't password protect my login but I am gonna start to.

The simplest thing would be to check under "Recent Items" in the :apple: Menu.

go to applications -> utilities -> Console
it logs a lot of things that would tell you wether the compu was being used.

That seems to me like the best way to go. Looks like I was just paranoid and no one was on my computer. :p. Better to be safe, though!

if your worried about other people using your system why not enable or configure the system to request a password after it's woken up from sleep? Anyone who tries to access the system will be prompted for the account password.
goto System Preferences → Accounts → Login Options
change Automatic login → Disabled
also goto System Preferences → Security
check both boxes for Disable Automatic login and Require password to wake this computer from sleep or screensaver

If someone has the key to my house, the last thing I worry about is protecting my computer. Get all the locks in your house changed immediately.

That's just scary knowing that your ex still has the keys to your home. I know that I'd have a very gross feeling in my stomach if I felt that someone had had access to my personal belongings and might have gone through them while I was unaware.
