Gov.-elect Arnold Schwarzenegger, who asked California voters to "join Arnold" during the recall election, won't be able to extend the same offer to the masses at his historic swearing-in ceremony Monday.

The Republican's inaugural committee on Tuesday announced that attendance at the outdoor event at the Capitol will be restricted, with no access allowed for the general public.

Lol, the public is NEVER welcome at ceremonies like this. I'm sure Arnold is no different. The only politician I know of who would invite the public to something like this is Jerry "Gov. Moonbeam" Brown.

The same was true of his campaign appearances -- only his supporters were invited to attend. I don't know why his inauguration should be any different. Maybe he's afraid he'll accidentally say, "I'd like to thank the Academy..."
